I Boat NW Trip to Desolation Sound British Columbia

Many yachtsmen regard the Desolation Sound area as not only the most beautiful and varied cruising area in BC, but equal to, if not better than any other area in the rest of the world. In the variety of spectacular scenery, warm summer climate, abundance of shelter and anchorages, this area is a microcosm of all that is best about salt water cruising in British Columbia. Sixty miles of breathtaking coastline, intricate waterways, small islands and numerous attractive bays and coves, nooks and crannies - enough to delight even the most demanding of adventurers.  Our ventures took us to and from Desolation Sound, British Columbia via, Grief Point BC, Georgia Straits, San Juan De Fuca, Harrow Straits, Prideaux Haven BC, Friday Harbor, Roche Harbor, Lund BC, Pender Harbor, Bathgate BC, Victoria BC, Maple Bay BC, Gorge Harbor BC, Poets Cove, Nainamo BC, Caldwell Island (privately owned), Lauras Cove,  ending at Boat Haven, Pt. Townsend WA.

It's not all fair weather boating in Pacific Northwest, Here is "Grief Point" our hobble as we hunkered down and weathered out Gale Force Winds 35 to 40 Knot winds outside Desolation Sound, videos taken during a lull, to walk our dog.

"Go Aweigh To" is our boat, along with the others we are all traveling together.
